– What is the purpose of and introduction to Prakasini commentary on Brahma-samhita?

– After carefully collecting many jewels of conclusions, Brahma offered prayers to Lord Krsna. Those conclusive prayers were included in the 5th chapter of the book Sri Brahma-samhita for the benefit of human beings.

While traveling throughout South India, Sri Gauranga, the ocean of mercy and the only friend of the living entities in this age of Kali, discovered the treasure Brahma-samhita to deliver the people of Gauda-desa. After considering various Sastras, Sri Jiva Goswami Prabhu wrote a commentary on this book. Out of compassion, he presented it to the devotees of Bengal.

My spiritual master, Sri Bipin Bihari, ordered me to write according to Sri Jiva Goswami’s commentary and to add more. Thus, this poor servant wrote a commentary with great pleasure.

If the devotees study this commentary with pure intelligence, carefully considering the difference between matter and spirit, then this servant will be satisfied, his desire will be fulfilled, and pure devotional service will be propagated.

Offering my respectful obeisances to my spiritual master and to Krsna, I wrote this commentary for the pleasure of the pure devotees. (Mangalacarana of Brahma-samhita Prakasini)

Natural Brotherhood (Bhaktivinoda Thakura):

BhaktiVinoda Thakura

"Gradually, when the offensive portions of the established religions are destroyed, there will be no more differences in the bhajana performed by the various Sampradayas nor any quarrel between them.

Then as brothers, the people of all castes and countries will spontaneously chant the Holy Names of the Supreme Lord together.

At that time, no one will hate anyone or consider others dogeaters; nor will anyone be overwhelmed by the pride of high birth.

The living entities will not forget the principle of natural brotherhood."
